DAY 1: HANOI ARRIVAL
Arriving in Hanoi (Noi Bai airport), you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel for check-in (hotel rooms are available for mid-afternoon check-in). The rest of the day is at your leisure to explore the tree-lined boulevards, French Indochinese architecture and tranquil lakes of this unique city.

DAY 2: HANOI CITY TOUR (B, L)
08h30 You will be picked up from your hotel lobby and depart for the city tour with visit to the One Pillar Pagoda, founded by King Ly Thai To in 1049. This structure is one of Vietnam’s most iconic temples. Close by is the mausoleum of the historic figure and father of modern Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (viewed from outside; closed Mon and Fri and from Oct-Nov) and the former presidents house on stilts where he lived from 1958 to 1969, his former home illustrates the modesty of this Vietnamese revolutionary.
Continue your visit to the Taoist Temple (Quan Thanh Temple) which is dedicated to Tran Vu, one of the principal deities in Taoism or visit Tran Quoc Buddhist Pagoda, was built in the sixth century (means “Stabilizing the Nation”). Lunch will be had in one of the city’s finest restaurants.
After lunch visit the Temple of Literature – Vietnam’s first university, also referred to as Van Mieu, was established within a temple to educate Vietnam’s royalty, mandarins and members of the elite. The university functioned for an incredible 700 years and its gardens and well-preserved architecture offer a fascinating glimpse into Vietnam’s past.
Next we go to visit Hanoi Old Quarter also known as the ’36 streets’. Take a walking tour around Hoan Kiem Lake. This bustling area of narrow streets and alleys is home to literally thousands of small businesses and shopkeepers. It’s a great place to explore life-style of Hanoians, culture or architecture with plenty of photo opportunities all around you.

DAY 3: HANOI – HALONG BAY CRUISE – OVERNIGHT ON BOARD (B, L, D)
08h00 You will be picked up from your hotel lobby for 3.5 hour bus ride through the country side of the Red River Delta to Ha Long City. Water buffalos, paddy fields (rice transplanting time: February and June) and daily Vietnamese farmer life are on both sides of the way. Comfort break time at Hai Duong city.
Arrive in Halong City at noon, we board a traditional wooden junk and start the cruising trip to the centre of the bay. Fresh seafood lunch (vegetable menu available) is served while the boat is gliding out. Get ready for exotic photos and absorbing the most magnificent natural splendors, limestone bedrocks and sheer cliffs of tiny islands highlighted with fanciful names: Fighting Cocks (symbol of Halong Bay), Duck (quick swim is an optional choice), Finger, Incense Burner, and Stone Dogs Islands.
Visit the most beautiful cave in Ha Long bay “Amazing cave”. After that go to Titop Island for swimming or kayaking (optional) or climbing up the peak for a breath-taking panorama view of Bai Tu Long bay (Weather permitted). Towards the end of the day the boat sets anchor for the night among the karst formations. Dinner is served on board.

DAY 4: HA LONG BAY – HANOI (B, L)
Rising to the sound of lapping bay waters, we have time for an early morning dip followed by breakfast. Sitting on the upper deck, you can relax while taking in the breath-taking beauty of the rocky islands rising from the emerald water of the bay.
On your return to Halong City enjoy a wholesome brunch as your boat wends through strange-shaped limestone rock formations. Upon disembarkation your driver will meet you for the transfer back to Hanoi.

DAY 5: HANOI – FLIGHT TO HUE – HALF DAY HUE CITY TOUR (B, L)
After breakfast transfer to the airport for the short flight to Hue, the former imperial capital of Vietnam. Its mesmerizing tombs and mausoleums of the last emperors of Vietnam reveal fascinating insights into the lives of the imperial families and their subjects.
On arrival you will be picked up for the half day Hue city tour with a visit to the Imperial Citadel where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945. The ancient citadel reflects the pomp and ceremony of the dynastic rulers as well as the scars of many years of turmoil, both ancient and modern (the Royal Citadel was badly damaged in the latter stages of the war) but retains a sense of grace and majesty even today.
Then depart for Thien Mu (Celestial Lady) Pagoda overlooking the Perfume River constructed in 1601, the 21-meter tower is the centerpiece of the pagoda and represents seven reincarnations of Buddha. On the pagoda grounds is the famous Austin car a resident monk drove to Saigon in 1963 to protest against the southern regime. The photo of his self immortalization is one of the most well known images of the war.
Before heading back to your hotel take time to stroll around Dong Ba Market with your guide. The market is another of the must see sites in Hue, the stalls are teeming with color and a great place to catch a glimpse of everyday life.

DAY 6: HALF DAY HUE CITY TOUR – DA NANG (B, L)
Have breakfast at hotel then depart for the rural area of Hue, passing scenic villages and green rice fields to reach Emperor Minh Mang Tomb, one of the most beautiful Emperor’s tombs in Hue. The tomb is particularly impressive being extravagant complex of pavilions, temple, courtyards, and lakes. Journey on to Khai Dinh’s Tomb designed in traditional Vietnamese style with a European touch making it unique from the other tombs in Hue. Stop on the way to see how conical hats and incense sticks are made in a traditional village.
Back to your hotel for check-out. Lunch in a local restaurant with local delights.
After lunch depart to Da Nang city. Stop en-route to see the scenic fishing village Lang Co Beach. Lang Co beach attracts visitors with its stunning white sand beaches and crystal blue water. After passing Lang Co beach, we will drive for 20km on Sea cloud pass (Hai Van Pass) – the highest pass in the country and one of the most scenic and historic hillside roads in Vietnam. Check in your hotel on arrival.
Rest of the day is at your leisure for swimming, or discovering Da Nang city on your own.

DAY 7: DA NANG – CHAM MUSUEM – HOI AN (B, L)
Morning free at your leisure. Pick up from your hotel at 10h00 for one hour road transfer to Hoi An, a major Asian trading port in the 17th and 18th centuries whose architecture and relaxed lifestyle has changed little over the years. En route visit the Marble Mountains, Cham Museum, which contains the finest collection of Cham sculptures in the world and visit Non Nuoc pagoda.
Arrive in Hoi An and check in your hotel. Lunch to be arranged in a local restaurant.
After lunch we take a walking tour of the ancient town centre to visit former merchants’ houses, the 400 year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, a Chinese communal hall and the colorful market. Hoi An is a destination with two faces – the charming, old-world trading port of narrow streets and traditional houses, and the beach with its new resorts and long stretch of clean white sand. In keeping with Hoi An’s heritage as a trading port, the town’s tiny shop houses now host a range of craft shops and artisans including some of Asia’s best bespoke tailors. Despite the passing of 200 years and the ravages of weather and war, the centre of Hoi An remains much the same as it was in its heyday. Around the town we can see a numerous art galleries and tailor shops, get some made-to-order clothes if you like.

DAY 8: HOI AN – DA NANG – FLIGHT TO NHA TRANG (B, L)
The morning is left free to relax in this beautiful area. You could take a taxi or make the easy five-kilometre bicycle ride through the rice paddies and shrimp ponds to Cua Dai beach. Alternatively Hoi An is one of the best places to shop for souvenirs, especially if you’re looking for t-shirts, paintings or ceramics. For those interested in getting clothes tailored, this is definitely the place to shop. Another good idea is to take a boat trip out to a village specialising in ceramics and boat-building or visit the local farm in Tra Que Village and have a local home cooked meal including a “banh xeo” a specialty savoury (optional).
Transfer to Danang airport for one hour flight to Nha Trang – the beach capital of Vietnam also well known for its beaches and scuba diving.
Arrive at Cam Ranh airport where you will be met then taken 45-minute transfer by private car to your hotel in Nha Trang. Rest of the day is at your leisure.

DAY 9: NHA TRANG ISLANDS AND SNORKELING TOUR (B, L)
08h30 Depart from your hotel to Cau Da port. Embark on a boat trip to Mun Island – the best island for snorkeling where you can see lots of lives colorful corals and fish. Then go to Mot Island for fishing, relaxing, swimming & doing water sports or other activities (optional). Next we go to Con Se Tre Island where a delicious lunch of seafood is served.
After lunch, you can relax and sunbathe on a deck chair in a hut or on the beach while drinking Vietnamese coffee.
15h00 Return to the harbour where the bus awaits to bring you back to your hotel. Have dinner on your own and free in the evening.

DAY 10: NHA TRANG – DA LAT CITY (B, L)
08h00 Pick up from your hotel in Nha Trang center to depart for Da Lat – the jewel of the Central Highlands. It is featured by a park-like environment, with lovely temperature 15°-24°C and sunlight all year round, which create numerous waterfalls, pinewood hills, lakes and evergreen forests and gardens.
Upon arrival in Da Lat, you will first visit Prenn waterfalls about 10km away from Da Lat on the way, then Tuyen Lam Reservoir, Truc Lam grandiose temple. Have lunch, then take the horse cart round the hilly roads of Da Lat to the graceful Xuan Huong Lake in the centre of the city is highly recommended.
Evening free at your leisure. If you like to hike around by yourselves, remember that coffee and cake in Da Lat are some of the best in Vietnam and easily to be found in any finer cafes.

DAY 11: DA LAT – HO CHI MINH CITY (B, L)
This morning you will visit Da Lat Flower Garden, Crazy House, and Bao Dai’s Summer Palace that sits on a hill just outside the main centre. Bao Dai was the Last Emperor of Vietnam and the Palace has been preserved exactly as he left it in 1954. It is a classic example of art deco that is a tourist attraction in itself.
After lunch leave Dalat for 300km drive to Ho Chi Minh City. You will pass through many immense coffee farms and rubber forests. En route visit La Nga floating market.

DAY 12: HO CHI MINH CITY AND CU CHI TUNNELS (B, L)
Depart from your hotel at 08h00 for a visit to the War Remnants where exhibition halls display imagery of both the French and ‘American’ wars or History Museum (choose which one you would most like to see) and the Reunification Hall, formerly known as the former Presidential Palace it was towards this modern building that North Vietnamese tanks seized on the morning of April 30 1975, as Saigon fell. This fascinating building is filled with history still fresh in the minds of many. Continue going to visit Ben Thanh Market where an incredible display of fresh produce is offered. Simply stroll through the market exploring the variety of goods for sale. And then we have lunch.
Stroll (your vehicle will be available at all times) to the major sights of colonial Ho Chi Minh City: the Old Saigon Post Office, Dong Khoi Street (formerly Rue Catinat), Continental Hotel, Opera House and City Hall.
In the afternoon depart Ho Chi Minh City for the drive to Cu Chi district. Leaving the city behind, the scenery changes to views of rice paddies, villagers drying noodles by the side of the road and other scenes typical to southern Vietnam.
Arrive and start the visit of the famous Cu Chi Tunnels which consist of an incredible underground tunnel network constructed by Vietnamese resistance fighters (Viet Cong) during both the French and American wars. Start the visit with the Ben Dinh or Ben Duocsections of the tunnel. Here you can imagine what it was like to be a guerrilla complete with Russian Carbine rifles and AK 47’s on display. In the late afternoon journey back to Ho Chi Minh City. Arrive at your hotel around 17h00.

DAY 13: HO CHI MINH CITY – MEKONG DELTA, CAI BE FLOATING MARKET (B, L)
This morning, leave bustling Ho Chi Minh for the 2 hour drive to the delta town of Cai Be. The local traditional wooden boats, vast emerald rice fields and lush back waterways; these are the things that make Cai Be such a desired destination.
On arrival board your boat for a cruise of Cai Be floating market. Traders work the river and some have been living on these waters for generations. Produce at the market are hung on a pole in front of boats to attract customers and make it easier for people to see from afar what is on offer. Immerse yourself in a world of lush vegetation from the Mekong Delta as you pick through the fascinating and lively market, watching buyers bargaining for produce.
After visiting the market continue to a cottage factory where ‘pop-rice’, rice paper and coconut candies are made. Return to the boat for the cruise to Tan Phong Island. Next, take a rowing boat along the maze of shady canals. Head for a local orchard to enjoy the local tropical fruits, and visit artisan workshops to see the handicraft producers of the village at work.
Break for lunch at an orchard garden. Lunch will be local Mekong style serving specialties of the area. Afterwards, you will ride bicycles to villages, sightseeing and soaking up the rural ambiance or enjoy cooking class. If you prefer to relax, you can laze in a hammock.
Following your cruise drive back to Ho Chi Minh City. Arrive at your hotel around 17h30.

DAY 14: HO CHI MINH CITY DEPARTURE (B)
The day is at your leisure for last minute sight-seeing or shopping until your transfer to Tan Son Nhat Airport for your onward flight.
